Asked by aa22_ Jul 31, 2012 at 05:40 PM about the 2007 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 5.5ft Bed

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i get on the highway and accelerate my truck is fine. when I coast or get off the gas and accelerate again the truck jerks as if its starving for fuel; when I hit the gas hard it goes away and accelerates fine until I coast again and hit the gas lightly. What is the problem

If the truck has a lot of miles and you have never changed the fuel filter it would be a good idea and starting point. The filter is usually located on the drivers side of the frame rail.
