2000 chrysler cirrus lxi sedan, Has stalling problems.

Asked by mbutler64 Nov 29, 2013 at 01:19 PM about the 2000 Chrysler Cirrus 4 Dr LXi Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car is doing what seems to be a common problem with the car. When we try to
accelerate the car stalls, but only after it has warmed up. We have already changed the
throttle position sensor and the air intake sensor. No change. We dont have the money to
keep guessing.

Is the check engine light on? Check fuel pressure, just cause the car runs doesn't mean the pump is good at high speed when volume needs to be higher. W test gauge in place bring rpm up and see where the gauge is optimal low rpm pressure is 35- 50 psi and high should be 50-60 range. If pressure fluctuates below it will stall hope that help
