why is Wheel Heating Up

Asked by Rusty Jul 01, 2020 at 03:01 PM about the 2011 Jeep Wrangler 70th Anniversary 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The front drivers wheel (Rim) is continuously heating up to the point you can't
grab it. I have changed the wheel hub (bearing) the caliper, brake pads. Anyone
have a clue what is causing the heat.

Did you replace the brake hose on the affected side?

Did u replace the rotor? It could b the half shaft, but u most likely would have noticed that when the bearing was replaced.

The brake line likely has a separated lining that closes off retaining pressure to the caliper causing the brake to drag.
