Car won't move when in gear

My car won't move when I put it in gear it
just sits there not moving no matter how
much gas I give it I replaced the struts. And
that's when the problem occurred and when
I move to  put it in park it makes a grinding
noise. Could I have done something wrong
when I put it back together.
