Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey I'm having a similar problem with my car it
usually turns off while driving. The mpg usually goes
crazy. While it's running the car pulls and tried to
turn off on the freeway. Took it to a mechanic & said
it was the gas pump but it wasn't I really would
appreciate some help

"the gas pump" what you buyin' gas...no I think that he's wrong as FUEL pumps go out altogether~ never dilly-dally like that~ what I sincerely believe is that due to the age...and the fact that you've got a box of Acid...and this battery reacts with things....and if it's 10 years old, you need a new one anyways...what I'm suggesting is that you've a "brown power" situation, because perhaps there is only 11 volts and things will go goofy on ya~ so...NEW battery, new cables Clean connection to the motor block and any auxilliary connections with a wirebrush till shiny and ready to take on 50 amps~
