I have a 2002 LX Convertible (same car really) I have not had any real problems with it. Rides smooth, plenty of power for a cruising vehicle.... And most parts for the sebring 01-03 can be swapped with the ones for 03-06 with out too much trouble.

also the engine if properly cared for can usually pass 300K miles
