knocking when i press the gas pedal

I have a 2002 sebring, when i press the gas pedal i hear a knock that sounds like it is coming from under the car and i can feel it on my foot. the faster i go the faster the knock gets. it seems to only do it though when there is minimal pressure on the gas. When i press a little harder the knock seems to get better

If you put it into gear, hold brake and give it gas does it knock? or only when vehc. is moving?

it is only when it is moving. I had a friend look at i and he said it was the CV Shaft
