My Chrysler Sebring 2002 4 door sedan
started running hot today it has all or the
liquids in it it needs but the engine coolant
so I put water in it for now Is that a good  
idea?

No its not whether you live in a cold or warm climate the car needs to have the proper antifreeze to water ratio. If it was say a pint or so no worries, if more then you need at least a 50/50 mix. In cold weather the engine could freeze and crack, it hot weather it might over heat.
