i have a wrecked 2007 Ford Ranger Reg Cab, engine in good shape, but i
have good body 2011 Ford Ranger Ext cab

You'll likely need the donor's engine/powertrain control module and engine wire harness, if factory specs differ between the two vehicles the module will have to be reflashed to the new specs (transmission shift points, differential gear ratios, etc.)

Bad idea. Your truck won't pass smog inspection and you might not be able to sell it in the future.
