i have s 2010 dodge charger. sometimes it starts. and sometimes theres a clickn noise when i turn the key. when my engine gets hot thats when i cant start my car. do i need a starter or relay

I had similar issue on 300m. It turned out to be the gear position switch. This is the switch that only lets the engine start in Park or Neutral. When it does this try to reposition the gear selector.
