Bumped the right fron end when doing U turn..Now the external temperature reads -40 DEG C.

Any idea what I ,may do?

Search this on bimmerfest.com. This is a fairly common issue. Your temperature sensor probably got crushed.

This IS the external temperature sensor, right? " In front of the radiator " ?
