what's causing my 2000 Chrysler Sebring Convertible jxi Limited Edition to run really rough? It is hesitating, will stall when slowing down or turning,

Asked by ProjectRunaway Mar 12, 2017 at 12:49 PM about the 2000 Chrysler Sebring JXi Limited Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's hard to start, loses power when slowing down or turning. I have to put it in
neutral at red lights and pat the gas to keep it running. I've had to put it in
neutral and rev the engine while driving to ( I'll call it " blow it out" ) that seems
to help some. We've replaced the throttle position sensor.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
      Thanks In Advance

If your car has a lot of mileage on it, you may have a plugged catalytic converter creating too much back pressure in the exhaust. Have a muffler shop check it out, a new cat can cost a couple to a few hundred dollars FYI.
