Sebring keeps dying

Asked by 204sebring Dec 01, 2016 at 12:04 AM about the 2008 Chrysler Sebring Limited Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have an 08 sebring convertible limited and I tried
jumping it on the terminals under the hood as the
battery is in the wheel well. It didn't have any power
from those terminals so I put the positive jumper
directly to the battery and it started. I drove it for
about 5 mins and it died again with barely any
power afterwards. Any idea what it could be?

Battery is not being charged. Clean battery cables to make sure there's no corrosion. If battery cables are ok, jump start it and take it to ur local auto parts store to have the charging system checked
