Heater fan not working

The fan in my 300M stopped working. The ATC error is 36, communication failure. What does this mean and where do I go from here.

you will need to make a trip to the dealer or your mechanic. one of your sensors is having a issue

most likley the blower resistor. mounts on the housing the blower motor goes into.

yea, usually is the blower motor resistor. if you have the know how, try putting power to the motor (bypass the resistor) see if that runs it. if it does try pulling the resistor out ( usually just 2 bolts ) if its bad it should be pretty apparent. it will looked burnt. If its not that then it will take a little more to find the problem. Fuse good?
