Ticking noise

My son has a 5speed gt mustang has a
ticking noise changed clutch twice because
1st time the mechanic didn't do throw out
bearing causing it to melt into transmission  
and lifters have been changed and still have
the noise please help

You have to determine where the tick noise is coming from. Is the noise coming from the top of the engine or the rear of the engine or the front of the transmission? If a mechanic changed a clutch without replacing the throw out bearing then in my opinion he isn't much of a mechanic.
