As an alternative you can also file your own Motor Vehicle Report (see your state's license bureau web site) or ask your own insurance agent to look up VIN in their system, they might see previous claims made on it (if any). You can also check various Mustang registries and see if a previous owner added the car to one. There's no single registry so you'll have to try them all.
