Will a 2000 Mercedes Benz motor fit into a 2001 Ford mustang GT

Asked by 2001gt4_6L Oct 21, 2021 at 02:37 PM about the 2001 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So , I bought a 2001 Ford mustang 4.6 L v8 and it was suppose to come with
a rebuilt motor but did not. the mustang motor has a fried head gasket along
with a warped block. i have replaced the head gaskets along with numerous
parts. The motor does run without smoking and over heating. Recently i have
became a new owner of a 2000 S500 Mercedes Benz. The motor and
transmission are in amazing shape and run very strong. The Benz has a
bunch of front end damage. I was curious if the motor out of the Benz would
fit into the ford mustang.

1 Answer

I apologize , the Benz motor is a 5.0 motor that comes stock with 302 horsepower , not quite sure the type of transmission. The 2001 mustang only has 260 HP.
