overheating

I have a 2001 Ford Mustang, V6, 3.8L. Im having trouble
figuring out what this overheating problem is with my car.
The only time the car begins to overheat is in traffic, when
its left running for more than 10 minutes, or after its been
driving and then is running at a stop for a couple minutes.
The car can drive all day at highway speeds without a
problem which leads me to assume this has something to
do with the fan since it would overheat during that time if it
was anything else. The fan is spinning like it should which
is where Im stuck.

is it wired proper to not run backwards? I've seen that once, is fan a clutch type and slipping? shroud missing?

not sure which way is the proper way but its spinning so that it blows air from the radiator towards the engine. How would I go about checking for a slipping fan clutch or missing shroud?

It’s the ac, when your ac is on it will overheat unless your going highway speeds mine does the same thing, I have no clue why or how to fix it if you have figured it out by now I’d appreciate to know how!
