2007 sport track takes spells and won't start.

My 2007 Sport Trac died as I was driving. Turned over but wouldn't start. Had it flat bedded to the dealership.  Dealership replaced the fuel pump. A day later it just wouldn't start after trying at least 15 times. The dealership came and somehow got it started and took it to their garage. Couldn't find a problem. Two weeks later same thing. I tried to start it for the next four days.  Started on the fifth day. Drove it back to the dealership. It was at dealership for four more days and they again couldn't find the problem.  They said that nothing showed on the computer. It has to fail to start before they can get a reading.  In the meantime I hate to get stranded the next time it won't start. Can't go to far from home. Come on FORD. What is the PROBLEM???

The dealership is correct, the problem has to exists for them to diagnosis the problem. The truth of the matter is dealerships are overly reliant on what the computer says. If the problem existed the first time and the code was available for the dealership to read, they should have known what the problem was then.
