throttle body control

throttle body control light is flashing. Has hard time starting then in park or drive the engine will not accelerate past idle

It is in limp mode, it is likely that there is a problem with the throttle body. A scan tool needs to be connected to read the trouble codes.

Bought a new throttle body for my 2008 Dodge Ram 5.7 some people are telling me I have to reprogram my truck now does anybody know if that's true or not

Depends on if the throttle body is for that specific vehicle. If it is no but some throttle bodys will fit different vehicles and if it's not the exact one for yours then yes you will have to take it to a dealer and have it reprogrammed.

I believe turn key on press gas pedal down slowly release back up and do this i believe 3x then turn key off. Remember just turn key to on position don't start.
