I have a 2004 Chrysler Pacific and the driver side exterior mirror has "darkened". Do I need to replace the entire mirror with housing or I can I just replace the mirror glass?

If it bugged me then I'd call a parts store and ask. If they told me I was into replacing the whole sheebang then I'd be off to the hardware for some glass cement & have a mirror cut to fit.

This happened to my mom's 2004 Pacifica and what we did was go to an auto glass shop and they ordered one new mirror. Installed l think it was $20. The "dark stuff" is oil inside the glass and somehow it heats the mirror. Hope this helps
