Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife's pacifica just started to get a message saying the left door was ajar and the
interior lights would flash dim to bright with the door closed or just stay on. we tried
shutting door again and that did nothing. I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the
computer...only other thing i can think of is the relay. Anyone have an idea of what it
might be ?

Some users on here say that spraying a little wd 40 into the latch mech of the doors will clean and lubricate the door ajar switches causing them to start working properly again.

I tried the wd 40 and that did not resolve the issue. U think the sensor is gone?

We just started having this issue with ours as well. My first thought is a fuse, I'm going to check them today and if that isn't the case, I'll let you know what happens.

All my fuses are good. You can get a fuse kit pretty inexpensively from Walmart or Autozone. You're looking at like 20 bucks and maybe a half hour to check them if you want to run through the lot of them. Make sure you disconnect the battery before messing with the fuses. It's looking like my sensor in the door needs replacing which is a decent size job. I'll have to pull the door panel and I'm hoping I can get my hands on the part.
