a place like advanced auto or o reilys has scanners you can use for free.

Chase, thanks a bunch. I took your advise and went to a Auto Zone where they found 2 codes: one was for a transaxle module. After my computer was reset, I went home and later went on a 25 mile drive where the code reappeared. I hope my transmission is malfunctioning. Thanks again !
