Car won't start

Asked by Kountryangel06 Apr 18, 2019 at 01:47 PM about the 2004 Chrysler 300M FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car shut off going down the road with no
warning. It will spin over fine but won't crank. It
also drained the battery after sitting in the yard for
2 days. I replaced the crank shaft sensor but didn't
help.

Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. Any applicable trouble codes? If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs--proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Some chrysler vehicles, the computer has to see both the crank and cam sensor signals or it won't ground the asd relay. The asd relay supplies voltage to several systems, just to name a couple, primary voltage to ignition coil and fuel injectors. I can't say that replacing the cam sensor will fix it? Just my opinion.
