how to change the lifters in a 2005 sebring 4 cylinders

Was going to the mountains and the car lost power I turned off and when I check the oil was empty, then I got oil from a gas station and refilled However since that day (two years ago) it is a clack sound some mechanics said it are the lifters another the bottom of the engine

Changing the lifters won't do any good if the noise is the bottom of the engine. Determine where the noise is coming from before throwing parts at it. Some Marvel Mystery Oil or Rislone oil additive may help if it is the lifters. Available at auto parts stores and your local Walmart, just follow the directions on the container.
To get back to your question. You are going to have to remove the camshaft from the top of head. To get the cam out. You are going to have the remove the timing belt valve cover and lift out the cam followers. Once you have them items out of your way them the lifter will pull out from the lifter bores. Make sure you keep all parts in over so that you can install them from where they were removed from. Cam caps can not or should not be installed in locating other than they were removed from they should not be installed backward either. You can use a mark on anything marker to help you get them back where they came from. This is true for the cam followers as well. Align the timing marks are the timing components and mark them to the timing belt to help you install the timing belt back in its O.E position as well. Hope this helps you
