My 2005 Pacifica won't start

y 2005 Pacifica was working fine. I went into the
gas station and pressed the lock button. Once I
came back to my vehicle I pressed the unlock
button on the key but it didn't work. I tried several
times but it didnt work so I manually unlocked the
door. Once I opened the door I noticed that smoke
filled the inside of the vehicle. There was also an
odor that was only inside the vehicle, not under the
hood. There was a flashing red light on the dash. I
started the vehicle but it only ran for a few
seconds. This happened 3-4 times and eventually
the vehicle would no longer start nor would it even
turn over as if it would even attempt to start. I tried
jumping the battery but that didn't work. What is
the problem?
