play in rack and pinion system

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is there any relation between clutch system and rack and pinion system.
recently i got my cluth system replaced however second day play in rack is
identified through grinding noise. Is it because of clutch improvement or
something else.

I don't think the two are related or that a mechanic would damage it while replacing the other , could be pure coincidence
