Series of 3 clicking noises behind drivers dash when heater is on

Asked by Caroline220R Dec 15, 2018 at 01:51 PM about the 2011 Chrysler 200 Limited Sedan FWD

Question type: General

Hi everyone. I have a Chrysler 200 limited
and the year is 2011. I’ve only had this car for
a year now and bought it from the dealership.
Just this winter, I noticed a strange ticking
noise coming from underneath the drivers
dashboard. When the car is running and the
heater is on, you can hear a series of three
slow taking noises and when the car is off,
it’s only a series of one ticking noise at a time
that can be heard coming from the left
dashboard. Diagnostic is going to be
anywhere between $80 to $110 just to find
out what this is. Has anyone had experience
with this that could help me figure out what is
the issue? Thank you all in advance!
