Question type: Maintenance & Repair

just brought it to the shop about a week ago and asked them to look over the
cooling system and they called me back saying nothing was wrong.  Fan
kicked on just a tiny bit late, but really doesnt affect it overheating to redline.
only times this happens is during quick acceleration or going uphill.  I've
been able to drive it still, ive just needed to grandpa it.  i thought about the
possibility of the transmission intercooler being the problem.  They had also
said that sometimes radiators "just go bad".  how would that even be
possible?
