2005 crysler 300 cylinders won't get compression

while sitting at a stop light my car cut off without warning.  it turns over, but will not start.  i'm told that the cylinders are not getting compression. what might this be.

sounds like the timing belt broke to me, if the cams cant turn then you cant build compression, either the intake or exhaust vavle is open at all times. These are Interference engines which means you may have to replace bent valves upon repair also.
