so if my car has a recall and it was never fixed and i just
bought it and its over 169000 miles will the manfature still
fixs it free

Take it to a dealer and let them know. If they don't help you then it's not a bad day when a dealership closes business

There was a recall on the dual tank system in my pick up. The tanks were taking gas from each other. Come to find out there was a defect in the system and it was on recall. I took it to the dealer here in Ogden and they told me my VIN didn't count for the recall. I did not give them my business to fix the job.

on a recall , they must fix it even if it has a million miles. however if you ignore the notices and there is damage outside of the recall even if it is caused by the item under recall you are responsible for those repairs. seen it when i worked at a dealer .fixed the parts under recall but since they waited over 2 years and 5 notices,they wouldnt cover the other stuf that went bad because of it

sinceyou just purchased it then all should be good.. the case i pointed oout was the customer recieving all notices and not getting it done.. the notice he brought in was over 2 years old with no change to his address. when manufacturer was called about how to proceed this is what they checked into
