I replaced the engine in my 2006 chrysler 300. If I
replace the ECU do I need it programmed to the Vin
of the car or to the Vin of the engine ?

Car. Was engine same size/vintage as original one? Same transmission? You can only program to factory presets, so nothing custom. Also, you may need to program in anti-theft and mileage.
