2006 Chrysler 300 Aftermarket Stereo Install

Question type: Car Customization

I thought I was pretty good at installing aftermarket stereos
(installed many in my own personal vehicles and family &
friends vehicles) but I am having issues installing an
aftermarket stereo in my 2006 Chrysler 300 base model
which I should include doesn't have any steering wheel
controls or navigation. Plus I haven't been able to locate
any factory amp that I've seen being an issue in a lot of my
Google searches. Initially tried using a basic wiring harness
for my vehicle which ended in the aftermarket stereo not
powering on at all. I just recently purchased a more
expensive wiring harness that I've included a picture of but
not sure if it will give any different result due to the amp
bypass issue (even though I'm pretty sure my car doesn't
have a factory amp). Any ideas or suggestions on what to
do?? I am at a complete loss...please help!!!

UPDATE: New wiring harness worked....except that now the stereo won't power off. Even when I manually try to power off it comes back on again. All wires are connected properly. Any ideas on how to remedy this problem??

Double check your ground connections. A bad ground can do crazy things. Hope that helps! Jim

2ND UPDATE: Figured out problem with the aftermarket stereo not powering on. Didn't have the steering wheel control wires twisted together and plugged in. Directions weren't very clear on that part. But now have ran into yet another issue. After mounting the aftermarket head stereo for the 3rd time, it isn't wanting to turn on....so frustrated! Please any thoughts or ideas on how to fix this problem? (INCLUDING but not limited to taking a sledgehammer to the whole thing!)
