Asked by Amanda Jun 30, 2020 at 10:32 PM about the 2006 Chrysler 300 RWD

Question type: General

Do I have to buy a whole new fuel pump for my 06
Chrysler 300 if my fuel filter is inside the fuel
pump? My car had sat for many months and didnt
have tons of gas in it in the first place and long
story short i had hit the fuel pump lightly and had a
bunch of gunk come off of it and my car had finally
started..thank you for your help

it is best change the Fuel pump out at the same time since you will already have the gas tank down. Once you have the tank out check inside and see if you have alot of grime built up, if so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have the inside of the tank cleaned out.
