Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So i recently got a 2011 mazda 6, have noticed it
squeals pretty loud when idling. I did the usual and
replaced the serp belt and tensioner, but the sound
continues. It goes away when i accelerate, but gets
loud when i'm idling. I have no idea what else to do

I'm no mechanical master, is that something i could do without taking a bunch of shit apart?

do you know when the timing belt and tensioners where replaced, if you dont know or have no record then change it, a local shop would advise best on where the noise comes from, and no there is no easy way

No idea when they were replaced. But i took it to 2 different mechanics neither of which could find the problem

So guys I’m actually having the exact same problem with my mazda 6 2015 and I’m happy that I actually read your post and didn’t replace the belt or tensioner. I noticed there is a small valve like mount right above the belt that goes up and down that causes the noise but I have no idea how to change it.
