2011 F150 5.0 Rad Fan runs constantly

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2011 F150 5.0 Had all my coolant lines and thermostat replaced due to big
coolant leak issues. It did overheat once the day before I took it in to the
shop. After the fix my fan kicks on and stays on once coolant is to temp.
Dash meter shows stable temp levels that are where they should be. Fan
stays on until I turn truck off. No leaks and fluid levels are fine. Before the fix,
even though I had coolant leaks, the only time the fan would come on it was
telling me it was time to add more water/coolant w.e cause enough had
leaked out. Shop had burped the coolant lines and guarantee there's no air
in them.

I see a listing for a cooling fan controller on Rockauto.com for your truck. It looks like an aftermarket replacement but if your truck has one from the factory I'd suspect it got fried when the engine overheated. Hope that helps! Jim

Could be the high pressure switch on the AC compressor. May be a video on the net.
