my dash board is not illuminating in day light help please

Dash lights are adjustable for night driving to maximize visibility and minimize glare. But dash lights behave differently when the car's outside lights are off. When off, the car assumes it's daytime and it sets the dash lights to bright so you can see them against sunlight. If your dash lights aren't on during the day, you have a defect somewhere. Might be a blown fuse or a poor connection. If you have a sunlight sensor, and I believe you do, it might be defective defective.

in an eleven year old car, it's probably a bad sensor. just replace it
