nissan 48K maintenance plan?

Hi, Just bought my Coupe and I am interested in finding out more information about the 48000 mile Nissan Maintenance Plan that costs somewhere between $550 to $600. I'm was told by the fiance guy about it but he didn't explain it well enough to figure out if it was a good deal? Some points: 1.) To keep the warranty in effect you must have a Nissan dealer perform the Nissan necessary maintenace every 3750 miles on the car. So under this plan which exceeds the 3 year 36K I would get 13 of these vists. 2.) When talking to the finace guy it looks like they just change the oil and filter and do some checks? 3.) Later I called the Service guy for the prices: 3750 Miles is $35.96; 7500 Miles is $89.00; !5000 mile is $235.00; and 30K miles is $501.00. So what the big question mark here is by buying the maintenace plan now at around $600 bucks do I avoid spending at least $1489.72 in getting this service done? Thanks!
