There may not be power there when the vehicle is turned off. Does it charge when the car is running?

Then there is no power at the port. Check for any burnt fuses.

I have the same problem and everytime I connect my iphone to the USB port it starts on & off charging (every quarter of second, even less). is the built in USB port in general can be used for charging? my older 5 series from 2010 could charge my same cellphone without any problem. --> X5 2014 25d
