2011 GTS CVT F1CJA

Asked by Michael Mar 09, 2018 at 05:44 PM about the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought this car from a salvage yard and the
transmission is studdering during acceleration.  It
has gotten progressively worse over the last month.
I want to swap it out for a 2014 model that has
similar mileage from another junk yard.  I saw the
2014 has the same F1CJA model.  Will it fit my car?

I have a 96 Chevy Silverado 5.7 two wheel drive one day I was backing out and hit the gas before when the gear and then it wouldn't start going until I put it in 2nd gear but it shifted fine after that but I always had to start off in 2nd gear and then I was trying to get out of some ice and it went and stop moving in any gear and when I put it back in park it went I could grind grinding sound could that be my modulator could it be my rear end or is it possibly my transmission when I was starting out the second was going from low to high everything else perfectly no hesitation no slip no nothing and sometimes I had a hard time taking it out of park to so I was kind of curious about what you thought it was
