that is most likely oil leaking either from the vacuum pump or from the rear crank seal in the trany if the the oil is coming down the front of the engine ((aka the left side which is pointed to the front of the car)) could indicate a leaking filter housing or pressure sender which is right next to that. It apparently is easy to have a leak in these cars from a loose filter housing that was not seated correctly. I remember once in my 2012 jetta I got a fresh oil change just before a long 1800km trip the VW mechanic at Volkswagen did not tighten my filter housing properly and I leaked oil half way across Canada before realizing what was going on. I spotted the leak before hand pulling into a motel between trips but could not spot the leak due to night and the belly pan. oil light came on later when i reached my destination apparently the mechanic at VW striped my filter housing which is plastic and wreaked the seal so check that out.
