My transmission stopped shifting after a long trip.

I have a 2011 mk6 Jetta I just came back from a
long trip and when I got to the lower speeds I
noticed it wouldn't shift out of 1 St anymore I have
to change the gears myself could it just be hot cuz
of the long trip I was doing 90 for about 100 miles

Heat is a killer of transmissions. How many miles on your car? How often was the fluid changed? Was it recent? On your car the fluid should be changed every 50K miles. Is it leaking?
