I have a 2011 Acadia, and problem with AC

Asked by bernkev May 29, 2022 at 03:46 AM about the 2011 GMC Acadia SL AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For two years the passenger side was blowing hot air, driver side and rear were
fine. With the hot weather upon us I turned on the AC to find both driver side
and now passenger side blow hot air, rear still works. We checked for leaks,
none. We added some freon, system appears to be working, not sure why it is
blowing hot air(140 degrees recorded).

usually that means you are low on refrigerant. Have a mechanic hook their gauges to your system to get the proper fill and psi. Don't rely on a can from the auto parts store.

Blend doors for the passenger and drivers vents is either broken or the servo motors have stopped working. Hope it is the servo motors cause if the doors are broken it will get very expensive to fix.
