My 1996 Cadillac Deville started losing all accelaration power when I hit 2500 rpms and doesent allow me to reaccelerate until it drops below 35 MPH of 2500 rpms. Can anyone help?

Not much to go on but it sounds like a transmission issue. If not transmission, you may have a plugged cat converter. That also affects acceleration by restricting the exhaust flow. Any other symptoms?
