tow capacity

Question type: General

I hace a travel trailer with a dry weight of 4700 lbs! Full 3 tanks of liquid may
add 1300 lbs to the load plus food, clothes, pots and pans for another 500
lbs.
I would like a Suburban 1500 which in the year 2011 with about 110,000
miles as my pocketbook can stand; will can pull around 8,000 lbs.  I can't get
a straight answer.  What do I need to look for in these vehicles, I know tow
package with brake controller and is gear ratio important?  I would like some
advise  thanks Guys    Bud
