turned on my car I noticed that my
command monitor was showing a black
screen with red doted across the screen

Kassandra, you own a Mercedes and you should have an expert, a mechanic, independent garage, or even the dealer that you can go ask- because there are likely to be many, many more questions- and many maintenance issues to deal with- in short, you will need a Mercedes friend you can lean on- that car is pretty new, and valuable- you must stay on top of it- btw, if I knew the answer to your question, I would be happy to provide it-
