trying to install new light bulbs over license plate on a Cadillac seville sts 2000. Having trouble getting lens out, Tried going behind top trunk cover but unable to get to bulbs. Is there an easy way I'm missing?

Just had to do this myself and its a real PITA. You're not gonna believe this but you have to remove the ENTIRE TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLY from the trunk lid. Remove the trunk lid lining enough to pull it down and out of the way. There are 9 bolts (I believe) that hold the taillight assembly to the trunk. May take some wrestling with the assembly to get it off. While you've got it off I'd also recommend changing ALL the bulbs, including the backup lamps while you've got it off.
