Car want go into gear

I have a 00 cadillac deville that want go into
gear only neutral the shifter moves but the
car only go into park and neutral the light
stays on park the whole can anybody help
me with this problem

It's possible you shift solenoids need to be looked at, but make sure your transmission is not low on fluid fist. You will need to remove the transmission cover to gain access to the solenoids.

I am out of fluid cause of a leak that I’m trying to find.. so when I put a lil fluid in to move it? The gears got loose
