Want go in gear

My car want go in gear i put it in drive nothing i put
it
in reverse my reverse lights come on but still
nothing it dont even jump alittle lik it does when
you put it in gear.......

Sounds like a shift solenoid is bad, need to take it to a good transmission shop.
