Over heating

Asked by Winkie Jun 10, 2016 at 11:35 AM about the 2001 Cadillac DeVille DHS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've replaced the thermostat, radiator and the top hose
and still my car runs hot to the point of the shut off
warning. I've checked for leaks but don't see any water on
the floor or looking around the engine.

check the fan relays, the fan clutch, the ecm, and check the head gasket for leaks. If your lucy it's one of the first 2, but those cars are notorious for head gasket problems.
